The War Veterans Fishing Group is a group of vets who get together to
organise a whole range of fishing activities.
We are a group of Vets helping vets.

Meetings are held on the last Friday of the month at
TPI House, 171 Richmond Road Richmond starting at 10.00am.
At the meetings we find out what members have been up to,
what they've caught, and we organise future group activities.

Fishing Wardang Is

Activities include fishing/crabbing trips both local and to venues
such as Port Victoria, Edithburgh and other locations where we can
fish from boats owned by members. We organise reduced rate charters
using operators who are very competent. We also fish from the shore,
or jetties, and go cockling. We have sinker making and
knot tying/rig making days, which usually end up with a BBQ.
At the end of each year we have a social get together, and present
a 'Fisherman of the Year' Award, and we keep a 'Record Catches' list.
